Launching a social enterprise is tough - no founder can do it alone. Beyond the initial idea, success demands expert knowledge, hands-on support, and practical tools to fill the gaps founders simply can’t cover by themselves.
That’s exactly why we created our ‘Muscle’ offering. Every cohort of All Good entrepreneurs gets a practical support package including: exclusive access to our online learning hub; skilled volunteer help through our incredible partners, We Make Change; and one-on-one consulting sessions with experienced professionals - our Muscle Partners.
This blog dives into that last piece. Meet the four experts who work directly with our entrepreneurs, offering tailored advice and hands-on help during scheduled sessions. (Think of them as business personal trainers, minus the sweaty gym gear). Let’s go…
💬 Heather Claycomb - PR & Communications
Co-founder of All Good Ventures and Managing Director of Hamilton-based firm HMC, Heather brings more than two decades of experience in public relations and communications. She and her team specialise in everything from media and marketing to storytelling and crisis management. As a Muscle Partner, Heather and her team help our social enterprises shape their story, connect with the right audience, and build confidence in how they communicate. Whether it’s refining a website, developing key messages, or planning a communications strategy - HMC’s expertise helps ventures get heard (and maybe even go viral, in a good way 😉).
📣 Hariet Waffenschmidt - Digital Marketing
With 18 years of experience in digital performance marketing, Hariet is all about data-driven strategies that get results. She’s worked with clients across New Zealand and internationally, running effective campaigns on platforms like Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
As a Muscle Partner, Hariet helps our ventures cut through the digital noise and avoid common pitfalls (like accidentally spending an entire ad budget on cat videos). Whether they’re launching their first digital ad campaign or making sense of confusing analytics, she makes digital marketing feel less like a maze and more like a clear path to growth.
💰 Darren Savage - Budgeting & Finance
Darren has spent over 25 years in senior finance roles across the agriculture, health, and retail sectors. Now running his own consultancy as a Virtual CFO, he brings deep experience in financial planning, cash flow, forecasting, and business operations. As a Muscle Partner, Darren helps social enterprises build strong financial foundations. His advice empowers founders to understand their numbers, plan for sustainability, and make decisions with confidence - no calculator required (but it’s okay if they want to bring one 😉).
🎙️ Kane Power - Podcasting
With over 20 years as an audio engineer and more than 3,000 podcast episodes produced, Kane is basically a podcasting wizard. His company, Precision Podcasting, has helped shows top the charts in 18 countries - no big deal. As a Muscle Partner, Kane helps social enterprises find their voice and tell their story through podcasting. From choosing the right gear to planning episodes and launching shows, he makes podcasting approachable, fun, and totally doable - even for those who’ve never recorded more than a voice memo.
The power of muscle
These four professionals are just one part of our broader Muscle offering - but they’re a powerful example of what’s possible when expertise meets generosity. Throughout the year, our entrepreneurs can “cash in” up to two hours of one-on-one consulting with each expert, at a time that suits them - asking questions or tackling challenges specific to their business needs. Together, this team provides the well-rounded support social enterprises need to move forward with confidence. We’re proud to have them on board, and we couldn’t do it without them.
